Joining the Military

So back at the start of 2015, a couple of months after I graduated with my degree in Computer Science, things weren’t working out as I had planned, because of the cyberstalking going on, which I will explain more in another blog post when I write about my career. For various reasons, I decided that I would join the military. I had a friend who joined the Air Force, so I spoke with an Air Force recruiter. So not only was the cyberstalking by my family interfering with employment at that time, it also interfered with my relationship with my recruiter. The cyberstalking started around mid 2012 after I split up with my ex girlfriend and started my degree in computer science, it took me about two years to get my degree, and the extent of the cyberstalking at the time only went as far as simply spying on my computer/phone activity and glass-lighting, then the cyberstalkers grew more and more comfortable branching out and interfering with every facet of my life. Anyway, one day after meeting with the recruiter, I heard my sister and stepmom talking, and the stuff that they were saying led me to believe that they had reached out to the recruiter. So I went through the whole recruitment process, took a test and physical, and got a ship date in the month of September, which was many months from, I’d say around March, which was way too long of a wait for me. I ended up finding employment during the wait, in the construction field, not the tech field, and I chose to stay with this employer and not ship. The cyberstalking continued, I was still confused on how exactly the cyberstalking was happening, and in hindsight, I probably should have shipped to Air Force boot camp to get away from my family and the cyberstalking, but then again, not really because there was still a lot for me to figure out and the cyberstalking probably would have followed me anyway, like it did now with my current situation, or my cyberstalking family might have stopped after shipping with the Air Force, but I really doubt it.

So I found employment mid 2015 and didn’t ship with the Air Force. Then in early 2016 the cyberstalking was really getting to me and stressing me out at work especially because my employer was participating in the harassment, so I found employment closer to home a couple months into 2016. This was the year that I moved into a bugged studio to “get away” from my family, however, they were still able to cyberstalk, and the cyberstalking was also being carried out by this new employer. Then eventually this employer fired me at the end of 2016. So I contacted and Air Force recruiter, and I could tell that my employer, and probably other cyberstalkers, had already contacted the Air Force recruiters, and they basically told me I couldn’t join or something. So I contacted an Army recruiter and the employer who had just fired me a couple of weeks before had called these Army recruiters and basically told them to harass me. They were nice, but I could tell that my employer had called these Army recruiters, which is seriously creepy; imagine getting a random call to notify you that someone is about to contact you and then tell you what to do and say to intimidate this person. This employer, and many of my other employers actually, went way beyond boundaries and should be in jail or punished for their stalking and harassing behavior. By the way, this is the same employer who contacted the private investigator I hired to bug sweep my apartment and influenced the judge to not rule the small claims case in my favor even though I had plenty of evidence, which I wrote out about in a previous blog post. Talk about oppression. Anyway, so I actually found employment a couple of months into 2017, so I didn’t continue my weak effort to join the Army, I essentially only went to the office for the application. The cyberstalking continued with this next employer and then I was fired, again, and moved back to my parents house around September of 2017.

Then at the start of 2018, I went back to the Army recruiters office and this time my father was in communication with the recruiters. I don’t know for what reason my father was in communication with the Army recruiters, other than to annoy me and to be a control freak. Actually, you know what, he was actually trying to keep me from going. And like I mentioned before, they starting reaching out and interfering with every facet of my life. And the recruiters were cool, I understand how my cyberstalking father influenced their behavior, so I think they kind of felt caught in the middle of helping me join the Army and helping my cyberstalking father keep me out. But the recruiters have a job to do, which is to recruit and help people join the military, so I went through the processing again, with a serious effort; I had to retest because it was 2018 and I last tested in 2015, and I had to do another physical, which is where things started to get difficult and the recruiters actually tried their best to not recruit me despite me being perfectly qualified. So my last processing physical was in 2015, and it was 2018, and in between that time, in 2016, is when my family/employer/friends had my cousin attack me, and even though I didn’t want to go to the hospital, the police officer said that it would be best for me to go to the hospital. So I went to the hospital, they took some x-rays, I went to sleep, woke up, ate breakfast and left. So when the Army application asked if I have ever gone to the ER within the last couple of years for any health conditions, I said no. However, during the processing, their paperwork asks if you have ever been a patient in the ER, and I said yes. So since I was a patient in the ER, I had to obtain some medical records from the hospital. My recruiter and I went to the hospital, got the records, and he told me he’d send the medical records and will follow up with me. So long story short, since my BAC was on the medical record, they scheduled me for a consult. I had no idea what a consult was, they said they wanted to make sure I wasn’t an alcoholic or something, so I was like whatever, one more hoop to jump through. So they ended up taking me to see a psychologist, and I was like WTF, are you serious. Anyway, so I had a conversation with they psychologist and talked very good about myself. So some time passes, I meet with the recruiter and he tells me that they have to submit a waiver for whatever reason. More time passes, I meet with the recruiter and he tells me that the waiver wasn’t approved because of alcohol abuse, and I was like, WTF, I don’t have alcohol abuse, I don’t even drink that much. It was around this time that I stated teetotaling. I was already planning on not drinking after 30 years old, but this is the reason I started teetotaling a couple months before my 30th birthday. Anyway, the recruiter told me to try again next year.

So the cyberstalking continued, I found employment doing construction, then back to managing construction, then I was fired, AGAIN, in June of 2019. I collected unemployment insurance, started my blog, tried to turn a side hustle into full-time self-employment, and figured I’d join the military, part-time, with the reserves for some funds and health benefits. So around October 2019, I went back to the Army recruiting office and I asked about the reserves. It had already been a year since I last applied, so they had all my documentation, and wanted to see why my waiver wasn’t approved the year before; these were new and different recruiters at the office. They actually printed out the consult write up by the psychologist and it turns out the psychologist wrote that alcohol abuse is not an issue, but possibly an adjustment issue, which actually doesn’t require a waiver. However, these recruiters wanted me to go see a therapist or a psychologist to review this write up and write something that says I’m fit for duty. With the cyberstalking going on, I couldn’t find one psychologist who would meet with me. Then I got to thinking and realized that this is actually illegal for the recruiters to request; you can’t single someone out to fulfill a certain specific requirement that’s not part of the protocol. So I was actually about to pursue a lawsuit against the Army. But then I met with a Navy recruiter, and they suggested that I join the Navy as full-time active duty, and with the cyberstalking going on and since I already figured everything out and need to eventually sue Apple, I agreed. I waited less than a month before shipping and shipped in December 2019, a couple of days before my last unemployment insurance check.
